Supporting early childhood education in Namibia
In Namibia’s poorest region, along the Angolan border, flooding is common. Such an event washed away a local schoolhouse in the Mayana community in 2012.
After the schoolhouse was rebuilt on higher ground, RoundTrip funded the refurbishment of the building, allowing the local children to continue with their education.
Local tradespeople were employed to build all the furniture. The project cost just $3500 and over 50 children were enrolled in 2017.
