A Small Gift Makes a Huge Difference
RoundTrip Foundation’s Xmas Appeal is raising funds for our Bakery School project in Sri Lanka
We are working harder than ever to raise the necessary funds to support the Bakery School in 2026. Costs to run the school have increased significantly in recent years. RoundTrip will do whatever we can to keep the school running but we need your help!
- It costs $2500 to put a student through the Bakery School
- Currently 20 to 22 students are graduating every year
Summary of the Bakery School project:
The Bakery School project provides commercial bakery skills training for young women from abused or poverty-stricken backgrounds each semester. The project provides a life-changing pathway to employment, financial stability and family reunion
In essence It provides an opportunity for a better future for young women who have had the worst possible start to life.
The project has been hugely successful:
- More than 240 girls have graduated from the bakery school program
- About 90% have found employment
- About 60% have been reunited with their families
